Entrance Qualification
General Entry Requirements
- There is no age limit provided the candidate can read and write and also has the basic requirements.
- Matured and highly discipline candidate who is also Physically, Mentally, Morally and Culturally sound.
- Candidate must not be an Ex-convict or a criminal.
- Candidate must secure cut-off mark in the Entrance examination and be successful at the interview.
- Candidate must possess a recognized Secondary school result (O’ level result).
- Relevant O’ level result must not be in more than two (2) sittings
I). SCHOOL OF GENERAL STUDIES
a. Diploma in Medical Health Technician
Duration: 3 years.
Entry Requirement: Four(4) O’level credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry or Physics(Not more than two sittings).
b. Certificate in Medical Health Technician/Assistant
Duration: 2 years.
Entry Requirement: Three(3) O’level passes in any science subjects.
II).SCHOOL OF COMMUNITY HEALTH
a. Community Health Extension Worker
Duration: 3 years.
Entry Requirement: Five O’level credits including English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Not more than two sittings).
b.Junior Community Health Extension Worker
Duration: 2 years.
Entry Requirement: Four O’level credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry (Not nore than two sittings).
III).SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
a. Environmental Health Technology
Duration: 2 years (ND), 2 years (HND) = 4 years.
Entry Requirement: Five (5) O’level credit in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Not more than two sittings).
b. Environmental Health Technician (DIPLOMA)
Duration: 3 years.
Entry Requirement: Four (4) O’level credits in English language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics (Not more than two Sittings).
c. Environmental Health Assistant (CERTIFICATE)
Duration: 2 years.
Entry Requirement: Three (3) O’level passes in any of the science subjects.
d. Food Hygiene
Duration: 3 years.
Entry Requirement: Five (5) O’level credits in English language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics (Not more than two Sittings).
e. Health Promotion
Duration: 2 years.
Entry Requirement: Four (4) O’level passes in any of the science subjects.
IV).SCHOOL OF HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
a. Health Information Management
Duration: 2 years (ND), 2 years (HND) = 4 years.
Entry Requirement: Five (5) O’level credit in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Not more than two sittings).
b. Professional Diploma (PD) in Health Information Management
Duration: 3 years.
Entry Requirement: Five (5) O’level credits in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics. (Not more than two sittings).
IV).SCHOOL OF MEDICAL LABORATORY
a. Medical Laboratory Technician
Duration: 3 years
Entry Requirement: Five (5) O’level credit in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Not more than two sittings).
